Parents, Teachers & Friends Association
Welcome to the Parent, Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA) of Bedenham and Holbrook Primary Schools.
We are a well-established group of previous and current parents, teachers and friends of both schools. Our aim is to bring the school family together to raise essential funds for the school and provide opportunities for our children to enjoy extra-curricular activities, both during school and after the school day.
Our PTFA Committee
Chair – Laurice Reynolds
Vice Chair – Clare Hunter
Treasurers – Sasha Reynolds & Sian Kelly (School Business Manager)
Secretary – Rebecca Cowley
Co-opted School Members – Laura Gibbs (Head of School, Bedenham Primary) & Penny Davies (Head of School, Holbrook Primary)
What we do
The PTFA is here to support the school in the provision of an education that has all children at the heart of it.
Together we run fundraising events and activities to raise money to purchase equipment to assist in each child’s learning and development during the duration of the child’s time at our schools. We also want these events to bring people together and build on our fantastic community spirit. We aim to deliver a calendar of events that appeal to all and try to make every child’s primary school experience fun and exciting.
We organise and run many activities alongside school staff, such as Summer Fayres, School Discos, the Christmas Shop, and the Year 6 Prom.
All families automatically become members of the PTFA when they join the school, and we want as many people involved as possible.
If you would like to take a more active role and find out more about PTFA volunteering opportunities, then please attend one of our monthly meetings - our dates are advertised on the school weekly newsletter.
If you feel you could help in any way, no matter how much or how little time you can give, then we would love to hear from you. For example, could you design a poster, bake a cake, help for an hour at an event, do some shopping, or collect raffle prizes? Your time and skills would be gratefully appreciated!
