Curriculum Overview
Our curriculum is designed with our vision, mission statements and core values in mind: it is personalised, reflecting the background and experience of our pupils; it sets learning in local and global contexts wherever possible; it celebrates diversity; and it is rooted in authenticity and context so that learning is relevant.
Music Development Plan
All schools should have a music development plan, as set out in the national plan for music education.
Schools are asked to publish a summary of their music development plan on their website in order to:
Publishing a summary will help schools to:
- raise awareness of their music development plan
- promote the school music offer to parents and prospective parents
- give greater opportunity for schools and music hubs to work together

Early Years
The Early Years Foundation Stage is mandatory for every early years setting in England. However, how it is implemented in each school/setting is unique. During the Reception year, we aim to provide children with experiences to help them develop the characteristics of effective learning. Please go to our Early Years Curriculum page for more information.
Curriculum Overviews & Knowledge Organisers
The Federation's teaching staff and subject leaders have created a Curriculum Overview for each year group mapping out all areas of the curriculum across the school year.
The core subjects in school are English, Maths and Science. The English and Maths Overviews provide an overview of the progression of skills and knowledge for Reading, Writing and Maths.
We are developing Knowledge Organisers for each unit of work. We have started with Art & Design, Design Technology, Geography, History and Science for the Autumn Term, and will continue to develop them for all foundation subjects as we progress through the year.
